Holiday Art Shows to Warm Your Walls (and Heart!)

Seasonal Shows

Starting November 6 through December 18
How is it November already? Here are a few festive gallery gatherings coming up this season to make gift giving and decorating more fun and unique! I hope you’ll stop by or visit online and discover joyful gifts to share this season.

  • Nov 6 — 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM • Duke Arts & Health Winterfest Marketplace
Arts & Health at Duke will host the Annual Winterfest Marketplace 2025. During six Thursdays in November and December, local North Carolina artisans will display and sell their creations to Duke Health employees, visitors, and patients in the main concourse of Duke University Hospital. I'll be sharing and selling my work on the first Thursday, November 6. Always a favorite show that feels special to bring joy and share art with all in the concourse, and feel grateful for all the tremendous care my family has received at Duke.

  • Nov 8 — 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Golden Belt Holiday Market
25 vendors for our ONE DAY Holiday Market in the Great Hall at Golden Belt Artist Studios. Start your holiday shopping with handmade crafts, arts, and clothing by local and regional artisans. While here, visit the Golden Belt Artist Studios themselves for more art. Open from 10 am to 5 pm – around the corner from Hi-Wire Brewing on the Golden Belt campus (just East of Downtown Durham). Lots of free parking. The Holiday Market is indoors in the beautiful Great Hall atrium. Rain or shine.

  • Nov 21 — 6:00 – 8:00 PM • City Art Gallery Annual Holiday Show

  • Nov 21 — 6:00 – 8:00 PM • O’Brien Art Gallery Annual Holiday Party

  • Nov 22 • ArtWorks of Sampson Brunch and Bows
Two brunch seatings at Alfredo’s will be followed by downtown shopping to encourage local spending.

  • Nov 28-29 • ArtWorks of Sampson Black Friday Holiday Shopping
ArtWorks will be open to welcome holiday shoppers.

  • Dec 6 • ArtWorks of Sampson Sweet Stroll Event
A popular downtown event that always draws great crowds and supports local artists and businesses.
